Do I need an account to download a Scribd document?
No. Paste a link and the PDF is ready on the same page. An account is optional and only adds a saved history and a higher daily limit.
What does this Scribd downloader actually do?
It opens the public Scribd viewer in a real browser, captures every page in order, and combines those pages into a single PDF. Nothing is re-typed, so the result matches what the public viewer shows.
Is the download really free?
Yes. The free tier needs no account, no card and no installation. An account raises the daily allowance if you convert a lot of documents.
Will the PDF have a watermark?
No watermark is added. The PDF contains the pages as the public viewer displays them, and nothing else.
Is the text selectable and searchable?
Yes. Pages are captured at high resolution and the text layer is included wherever Scribd publishes one, so text is usually selectable and searchable. Scanned documents stay images.
How long does a conversion take?
A short document usually finishes in under a minute. Longer documents take longer because every page is genuinely rendered in a browser. Progress is shown live.
Can you download a paid or private Scribd document?
No. ScribSave only converts documents that Scribd serves publicly. It does not bypass logins, paywalls, download restrictions or any other access control, and it cannot render a document the public viewer would not show you.
How long are my files kept?
Converted files are held for a limited time after they finish, and the page tells you when a file is no longer available. Converting the document again is always free.
What data do you store about me?
If you do not register, only a one-way hash of your network address, used to count your daily allowance, plus the document links you convert. No account details, no advertising profile, and nothing is sold.
