About ScribSave
A small tool for one specific, honest job.
ScribSave converts public Scribd documents into PDF files. People need this for ordinary reasons: a document they have access to is easier to read, search and keep on a device that does not have Scribd open, and a PDF is the format that survives.
What we are for
Turning a document you can already read into a file you can keep. That is the whole product. There is no bulk catalogue, no paywall bypass, and no collection of other people's files.
What we are not
We are not a mirror of Scribd and not an archive of documents we do not have the right to reproduce. Documents that are private, paid, removed or otherwise restricted cannot be converted here, and we do not attempt to make them so. Anyone asking for that is asking for something this service will not do.
How it is built
The converter runs a real browser against Scribd's public embed, captures each page as it is rendered, and assembles the pages into a PDF. Accounts, history and quotas are handled by a small CodeIgniter application; the rendering runs as a separate internal service that is never exposed to the internet.
Reporting a problem
If a document should not be convertible, or you believe something here infringes your rights, use the copyright and takedown page. Reports are acted on, and a document can be blocked from conversion entirely.
